I'm excited to be part of a World Cardmaking Day event this year again!
I'm pleased to present a Canadiana idea for a card, with a bit of history of our $2 coin - affectionately known as the Toonie.
Featuring the Black Toonie on my card, minted in 2022 in honour of the Queen's death.
In the video, I show one example of an impressed image of the bear on the foil paper, after embossing him with gold powder. In real life this is pretty cool and representative of our Canadian coin. I also show a much easier version utilizing the punch that coordinates with this outline stamp set. In both cases I use lots of dimensionals under the image to pop him off the foil circle.
I gave a little interest to the background by stamping randomly with a small maple leaf, multiple times. (this maple leaf is from the retired set Colorful Seasons) and embossed a small portion of white cardstock with another retired product. The Hello folder with it's multiple languages was perfect for our bilingual country with the bold Bonjour 😊
Glad you stopped by!
Thanks,
Laurie
