Celebrating Jack Kerouac's Birthday Stampin' Up! style

An out of the box creation tonight on my Live@8pm MT

Using Punch Art to create these Friends' car!

In a series of celebrating authors birthday by learning a bit about them and checking out their stories, we've come up with some unique card ideas. Creating a little bit of art from the inspiration we find from titles, imagery, setting, characters etc!

Born on March 12, 1922, in Lowell, Massachusetts, Jack Kerouac was a novelist and a poet whose work pioneered, captured, and inspired the Beat generation movement of the 1950s. Although he began writing in the 1940s, he is most well known for his novel On the Road which was published in 1957, a story of travelling across country with his friend.  Today the book is regarded as an American classic and still has an impact. He also changed the way Americans saw themselves, and their country. He loved his country. Before its time he was known for the promotion of civil rights for society.

Jack Kerouac and his literary works had a major impact on the popular rock music of the 1960s, many greats give credit to his inspiration.
